About us

FIM was born in Piedmont, in Novara, from the union of two distinct and complementary paths: the experience in the artisanal production of umbrellas gained by Marco Passarin, and the passion for mechanics of Fortunato Saliva.

Over the years the company has grown, expanding its scope and the range of its collections, but continuing to produce exclusively in Italy and cultivating the same mission: designing high quality systems for shelter and protection from the sun and heat, responding to the specific needs of each customer and accompanying them in the purchasing experience of a FIM product from the production phase, to supply up to after-sales assistance.

FIM is today an entrepreneurial reality that operates internationally, led by Giovanna Saliva and Ugo Passarin, the heirs of the founders, who carry forward with the same dedication and passion as their respective fathers, the philosophy that has made FIM a point of reference in the sector outdoor.

FIM production is made in Italy and uses know-how resulting from decades of experience in the sector. In the design and production of umbrellas, FIM combines advanced technology with the best artisan tradition, creating products that combine a high rate of innovation with the mastery of Italian know-how.
